How the IELTS Speaking Test Works
IELTS Speaking is a three-part test designed to assess how effectively you communicate in spoken English. The full Speaking test takes approximately 11 to 14 minutes.
Part 1 — Introduction & Interview
The examiner asks questions about familiar subjects such as your home, family, work, studies and interests.
Part 2 — Individual Long Turn
You receive a task card, have one minute to prepare and then speak about the topic for up to two minutes.
Part 3 — Discussion
The examiner asks further questions connected to the Part 2 topic, allowing you to discuss more general and abstract ideas.

Yes. You can generate new questions and cue cards repeatedly, making the simulator useful for regular speaking practice.
